The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black” pays homage to OMEGA’s history in space exploration. Its 44.25mm diameter case is crafted from polished-brushed black ceramic, while the brushed bezel is also made of black ceramic and features a laser-etched tachymeter scale in black Grand Feu enamel.
The laser-blasted ceramic surface under the sapphire crystal mirror has a small second hand display at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph dial at 3 o’clock, and a calendar window at 6 o’clock. All hands and beveled scales are blackened and coated with black luminous coating (emitting a soft green light in the dark).
The crystal caseback reveals the OMEGA automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 within. This “Blackened Edition” movement features exquisite finishing, including matte blackened oscillating mass, plates, and bridges, as well as black lacquer engravings, highlighting its exceptionally sophisticated construction. The watch is presented on a black rubber strap with a lunar surface motif on the underside, secured with a ceramic folding clasp and ceramic-coated titanium spring clip.
